The Upland Cook respects your privacy. This page explains exactly what data we collect, why, and how you can control it.

Data collected
The site collects personal data only through the contact form available at /en/contact. The following data may be collected:
- Name (required field)
- Email address (required field)
- Subject and message (required fields)
No data is collected automatically while browsing (no tracking cookies, no third-party analytics at this stage). Only the technical files necessary for the site to function are temporarily stored by the browser.
Purpose of collection
Form data is collected solely to respond to your request (questions about a recipe, suggestions, collaborations, etc.). It is never sold, shared with third parties, or used for marketing purposes.
Retention period
Emails received via the contact form are retained for a maximum of twelve (12) monthsafter the last interaction, then deleted. You can request earlier deletion at any time (see « Your rights » below).
Technical subcontractors
For the site to operate, the following third-party services are used:
- Vercel Inc. (United States): web hosting
- Sanity.io (United States): content CMS (recipes, photos)
- Resend (United States): email sending for the contact form
These providers are contractually bound by confidentiality obligations meeting market standards.
Your rights
Under Law 25 (Québec) and the GDPR (European Union), you have the following rights:
- Right of access to your personal data
- Right of rectification of inaccurate data
- Right to erasure (permanent deletion)
- Right to data portability (export your data)
- Right to object to processing

Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated to reflect technical changes (adding analytics, for example). The last update date is shown below. In case of a major change, a notification will be published on the home page.
